This website is intended to introduce you to the Perry family and to the work they are beginning in Northshore Chattanooga to plant a new church in the fall of 2011 or the spring of 2012. While the Spirit of God is clearly the lead in this effort, we certainly understand that we have a great deal of work to do. We also understand that we cannot plant alone…we need your help!

Over the next 18 to 24 months, there will be countless hours of work, prayer, sweat, discovery, failure, success, celebration, confession, fund raising, you name it. And while we are humbled by the work ahead, we could not be more certain that God is calling us to jump into it with all eight feet. Please look through the site, find something you can help with, and plan on being a part of the RiverSong journey!

 

Life with Jesus is abundant because it is life lived deeply. I think we all want that. We want to walk deeply with Jesus. That walk is deeply satisfying. It’s deeply abundant. It’s deeply mysterious in a very good way. The hard part about walking deeply with the Son of God (or so I’ve heard from those who do) is also that it’s deeply uncomfortable.

The road to a deep, authentic walk with Christ looks different for everyone, but I think most of those roads have similar landmarks. Many of them involve a season of extreme difficulty usually because of life circumstances. More of them involve a commitment to practicing the classic spiritual disciplines that position us to receive truth from the hand of God. And all of them require an ever-increasing commitment to faith and obedience. -Michael Kelly
